Interview with Sidney Hullburd

Welcome Sidney! Fill us in on what 2020 has had in store for you so far! Any big dreams you are running toward this year?

Hello!! Big things have already happened. I have independently released two songs, and I have my first debut EP coming out this summer! That is a huge dream come true.

You have released some new music and have plans for even more new jams headed our way. Congrats! The fan response seems amazing! How are you feeling with so much going on?

I couldn’t be happier.

Can you recall the moment when you knew you wanted to be a musician? What do you think motivated you day in and day out to continue on the path?

My dad would consistently sing karaoke to my family and me growing up. I was like “I want to do that.”

What has been the biggest surprise so far about making music in your career? Have you had an unexpected or welcome challenge to it all?

How important collaboration is. And I’d say a big challenge is realizing I can’t do it all my self.

Growing up, how important was music in your life? It can be a tough road, were your family and friends supportive of this career choice?

My family could not be more supportive. My one year old nephew is my biggest fan. Music has always been and will always be so important to me.

Can you share some advice for any artists that is wanting to break into performing and writing music? Maybe something you had wish you had known getting started.

Meet people!!! Get coffee with anyone and everyone. Go to the party alone. Get yourself out there and make friends. Also write everyday.
