So you may have noticed that we’ve been pretty quiet over here at The Littlest Voice. There are a number of reasons for our absence.
One, I had to dedicate most of my time to finishing my Master’s thesis. Thankfully, that is winding down and I’m getting ready to defend in the new year. So that major project is out of the way.
Second, my poor 10-year-old MacBook has been on the outs for a while. I was hoping to get a new one soon, but we’ll see. But since my computer has crashed hard more than once, I’ve been forced to take it easy on the machine. This was a given because of point number one, which was my first priority. Unfortunately, that meant that while I was doing great interviews for our podcast I had no way to edit the raw audio. I did try a couple of times, but even my work arounds that I started using this summer weren’t working anymore. So, fearing that my computer would explode or melt taking my thesis with it, I chose to put TLV aside for a bit.
But there’s good news in all of this. I do have several amazing interviews that I will be turning into text in the next few days. I also have many reviews that I’ll be working through over the next couple of weeks.
So stay tuned and thanks for standing by us. As an independent publication small hiccups have a tendency to turn into large destructive volcanos! We try to prevent that from happening as much as we can.
