Interview with Kelvin Frazier

Billboard charting artist, Kelvin Frazier creates fantastic music, including his latest single “Rollercoaster.”

Check out what Frazier had to say about his music and life as a musician.

When did you know you would ultimately create a life in music?

Music has always been my first love, so I knew it would be a significant component of my life.

How do you balance the life of a musician with the normal day to day?

No sleep! Time management is key. I look at my list of things to do and prioritize.

Who have been your greatest musical heroes?

My grandmother and brother are my first musical heroes followed by Luther Vandross, Steve Wonder, and John Legend.

If you had to describe your new music in only three words what would they be?

Fusion, Unique, and Fun

How do you feel about the current modern musical landscape?

I feel like there is more fusion, instead of putting everybody in a box for a certain genre. I like that aspect of how music is growing.

If you could tour the world with one artist (living or non) who would it be and why?

Beyoncé, because of the visions she has and the amazing performer she is. I definitely could learn from her how to push the boundaries.

What’s one unique thing about you that most of your fans might not know?

I was born with holes in the bones of my legs. I didn’t find out until high school when my ankle hurt so much that I needed an X-Ray. I am fine now, but that definitely was a surprising situation.
