Marlon Chaplin’s “A Single Drop”

Toronto’s Marlon Chaplin just dropped his latest video “A Single Drop,” the fourth single from his debut album last fall.

While the video is a bit of a love song for Toronto, as some viewers may recognize some famous locales, “A Single Drop” also has a very important theme.

Although the song is lively with an upbeat tempo, Chaplin is concerned with the cultivated reality that we are creating through social media.

“We’re living in a time where we have never been so connected and yet so simultaneously disconnected. The pervasiveness of social media and technology is propelling us towards capturing and sharing moments which show perfection and we’re losing genuine human connection.”

Be sure to give “A Single Drop” a watch and don’t miss Chaplin live Sunday night at The Horseshoe.
