Natalie Shay's upcoming single "This Feeling" is an upbeat joy

The turbulent whirlwind of young passionate love bounces along every note of “This Feeling.”

Set for release Jan. 19, “This Feeling” is the latest single from the rising UK indie pop star Natalie Shay. This 19-year-old is shaking up the music scene with her astounding vocals and gritty guitar.

Her debut single “Follow You Home” reached 15 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts, and she has won various awards including the guardian Future8 2014 Music Award and the London Music Award for Best Undiscovered Talent. Shay has also played many of London’s well-known live venues such as The Roundhouse, Ronnie Scotts, and Brooklyn Bowl in the O2 entertainment complex. She has even shared the stage with artists such as Soul II Soul, J P Cooper, Alex Francis, and Sex Pistol Glen Matlock.

Shay was classically trained on the guitar since she was five. Her undeniable musical talents landed her into the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, a prestigious school whose alumni includes musical legends such as Adele and the late Amy Winehouse.

Shay’s powerful vocals is the driving force of “This Feeling.” However, the skipping and pounding rhythm with the rolling guitar accompaniment perfectly harmonizes with her dominate singing. This balance creates a well-rounded song that is light and fun.

The single is also a fusion of Shay’s well-known live performance instrumentation with the in studio recording. Perhaps this is why the track brings to mind “Soak Up The Sun” by Sheryl Crow. There is definitely a down-to-earth vibe to “This Feeling” that will make it sound incredible live.

2018 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Shay and her music. We can only expect great things ahead from this remarkable up and comer.
