Chloe Bodur’s voice is smoother than the world’s softest silk. And in her single “Glory,” jazz lovers are treated to the sweet melody of her vocals as they slide over the mesmerizing pluck of the funk guitar accompaniment.

Bodur is a 19 year old neo-soul/jazz singer from North West London. Raised in a mixed heritage family in the heart of multi-cultural London, Bodur sultry voice and brazen lyrics has been attracting listeners throughout the UK. Inspired by Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra, this young songstress has carved out her own distinct sound. When she moved to Brighton to attend university, she met her now bandmates, and following their first gig together, signed on with QM Records.

Produced by UK Top 10 charting producer JD.Reid (Mabel, Katy B, Sinead Harnett, D Double E) and mastered at the famed Abbey Road Studios by Alex Gordon (The Kooks, Raye, Sigrid, Circa Waves), “Glory” has already caught the ear of music lovers. It has been featured as the Track of the Day on BBC Introducing on numerous occasions, and has now been added to the lineup on Jazz FM.

Thematically, “Glory” focuses on vulnerability and a deep sense of loneliness. Yet, as the overall tone crescendos in the latter half of the song, there also seems to be some sense of hope and longing woven in.

“It was originally written as a poem about youth trying to find love in themselves and in others and how one correlates with the other,” Bodur said.

Apart from the stunning vocals and dripping smooth guitar, “Glory” features some cool rhythms and hypnotic jazz beats. Overall the complex blend of harmonies and diverse melodies really makes this song stand out. It’s sexy, empowering, and beautiful, everything that every jazz song aspires to be.

Bodur has already been selling out live shows. More shows are set to be announced soon on her social media.

And if “Glory” is any indication, Chloe Bodur is one up and comer that you need to watch.
